This was recently completed. It's a fairly simple design and I quite like it but the fabric (from Amy Butler - love love love them!) seems to throw the whole thing off balance. Ah, sometimes it hard to get the whole things to flow together nicely. Oh well, I've been trying not to be to picky about everything, so I'm considering it a lesson for the next time.
In the last few days I've really been enjoying the new idea book from one of my absolute favorite scrapbookers. She's certainly got a great sense of design and composition, and good ideas to share, too. For scrapbooking, at least. Check her stuff out. It amazes me how she (like quite a few other "biggies" in the scrapbooking world) has created so many (literally hundreds!) of pages in the last 2 or 3 years. Scrapbooking is now a full-time job for her - teaching, writing books and contributing to magazines, so I suppose that's something that's required. Doesn't that sound like such a cool job though??
Journalling reads:
"He takes you for walks in the park. You love to “throw” and “catch” the ball with him. He sits you up high on his shoulders. You race to the door as fast as you can when you hear him coming home. He changes your nappy first thing in the morning. You play “bouncy bouncy” on his tummy. He lets you sit with him in the driver’s seat. You laugh with delight when he throws you 5 feet up in the air. He shows you the different rhythms and sounds you can make with different things. Your first words in the morning when you wake up are “daddy, daddy”. YOU ARE YOUR DADDY'S BOY."
Thanks for looking!

U order your paper and fabric online? Or there are outlets that sell them in Melbourne?

bren han: amy butler fabrics are quite easily available in australia. i bought mine in sydney and this particular shop has an online store as well: http://www.thefabricshop.com.au look for her fabric by range name (gypsy caravan/ginger bliss/temple flowers). i must warn you though that they are quite expensive.
as for scrapbooking papers, i usually buy from online aussie shops. http://www.scrapbooksandmore.com.au seems to have the best range of chatterbox patterned papers which are double-sided and absolutely fabulous.
